WONG of Bukit Bintang is dumbfounded over how an unoccupied and relatively small 333 sq m retail outlet can notch an electricity bill of RM34,796.63. The owner of the shop in Sungei Wang Plaza says the place is empty and does not house any electrical equipment using a high voltage.

I have a chove betweem installing a Rheem or a Trane HVAC unit for my home. 3.5 ton heat pump.

What is the better choice ?- price is approx. the same

Best answer:

Answer by Bin There
Trane has been around for a lot of years. I worked on Trane compressers back in the early 60s. So that tells me alot about trane.

Question by floundrpoundr: What line of action should we take since our new home air conditioner is failing?

Moved into our new construction home Jan ’07. This was a custom build. End of Jan our Trane AC/Heat Pump secondary drain pan filled up and kicked off the kill switch. This has continued to happen EVERY month. AC subcontractor has been trying to make the thing right. Basically going thru their troubleshooting every 30 days. Still crapping out. Tonight was the 9th time. Twice in 2 days. Compressor went out yesterday and they got it going again. Tonight it started blowing hot. They arrived; magically starting blowing cold after doing nothing to the unit. My wife finally lost it, called AC owner and demanded to see a new AC in our home. We also contacted the builder and demanded that he make something happen. AC contractor 1st suggested going thru Trane support then said he’d call the local Trane rep to replace (who’s been well aware of this and has been suggesting troubleshooting tips to AC guy thru this process). This thing has drug out long enough. What do we do? Legal? Wait out?

Best answer:

Answer by Ty
it should be under warranty if the house is new. Call a lawyer to get advice.

What do you think? Answer below!

Question by vodarevu 1944: I would like ti install a air source heat pump in the loft space?

I am planning to install air source heat in my house in the loft space to capture all the heat that is available in the loft.I feel as the temp is slightly more than the out side temp in winter times I may be able extract the heat that is available in the loft
Is this sensible and workable?? Thanks

Best answer:

Answer by Ron G
Not workable. There is not enough available volume up there to heat your house sufficiently. Good thought but will not work in practice.
